Ethiopia still attracting massive investments despite hearsay: Mines Minister

Addis Ababa, November 29, 2021 (FBC) – The Mines Minister, Engineer Takele Uma said that Ethiopia has still been attracting massive investments despite the hearsay being orchestrated by the western media.

The assertion came at a time when the Minister talked to leadership of Australian, Swedish, Canadian, UAE and Italian mining companies.

On the occasion, representatives of the foreign companies reaffirmed commitment to embark on additional areas of investment in the mining sector besides enhancing their existing businesses.

Takele, for his part, assured the companies that the Government of Ethiopia is committed to provide them with any necessary support to this end.

The discussion clearly manifests immense capacities of Ethiopia to attract more investments in the sector, Takele indicated.
