Ethiopia to host Global Startup Awards Africa Summit 2023

Addis Ababa, October 23, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia has finalized to host the Global Startup Awards (GSA) Africa Summit from October 25-27, 2023 at the Ethiopian Arts and Science Museum in Addis Ababa.

The Summit will be organized by the Ethiopian Ministry of Labor and Skills (MOLS) in partnership with the Ethiopian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) and Global Innovation Initiative Group (GIIG).

In a press briefing, the Labor and Skills Minister, Muferihat Kamil, stated that the summit is a monumental occasion for Ethiopia to leverage its potentials in the entrepreneurship and innovation sector.

The Summit will facilitate a fertile ground for innovators and entrepreneurs by supporting the establishment of productive startups, the Minister indicated.

The Labor and Skills Ministry pointed out that winners will be recognized out of some 80 startups to be presented on the Summit.
