Ethiopian athletes conquer the 2022 TCS Amsterdam marathon
Addis Ababa, October 6, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian athletes stormed the 2022 TCS Amsterdam Marathon women elite race, finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Athlete Almaz Ayana became triumphant in the women elite race clocking 2:17:20 and smashed the record time of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon competition.
She managed to win and break the record of this race after childbirth, injuries and a knee ligament surgery.
Meanwhile, compatriots Genzebe Dibaba and Tsehay Gemechu finished second and third, respectively.
Whereas, Ethiopian athlete Chala Regasa has won the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon men elite race early on Sunday clocking 1:00:30.
