Ethiopian delegation arrives in Cape Town to attend AMALI forum

Addis Ababa, January 23, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian delegation led by Addis Ababa Mayor, Adanech Abiebie, arrived on Sunday afternoon in Cape Town, South Africa to participate in the African Mayoral Leadership Initiative (AMALI) forum.

Besides to Mayor of Addis Ababa City, the delegation includes Bahr Dar City Mayor, Dres Sahlu, Adama City Mayor, Hailu Jelde and Dessie City Mayor, Samuel Molalign.

The delegation will participate in the African Mayoral Leadership Initiative Forum which will be held from January 23rd to 26th.

Upon its arrival, the Ethiopian delegation was warmly welcomed by the officials of the Ethiopian Embassy in Pretoria and members of the Ethiopian community in Cape Town.

Citing the Ethiopian Embassy in South Africa, the Mayor Office of Addis Ababa statement on social media indicates that the Ethiopian delegation, during its participation in the AMALI forum, will exchange experiences with different city mayors from across the continent.

It is stated that the inaugural cohort of the AMALI City Leadership Programme is made up of 20 city leaders drawn from across 11 African countries.
