Ethiopian President in Guinea to attend inauguration for President Conde

Addis Ababa, December 15, 2020 (FBC) –President Sahle-Work Zewde arrived in Guinea to attend the inauguration ceremony for President Alpha Conde.

Upon arrival at Conakry last night, she was received by President Conde.

The 82-year-old Conde won Guinea’s presidential election held in October to secure a third term in office.

Guinea is one of the countries that have strategic cooperation with Ethiopia.

During the past two years, they concluded cooperation agreements in the areas of health, agriculture, tourism and human resource development.

In 2014, Ethiopia deployed health workers in Guinea to fight Ebola, according to EBC.

Yesterday, President Sahle-Work attended the swearing in ceremony of President Alassane Ouattara of Côte d’Ivoirein in Abidjan.
