Ethiopians raised $835,400 in events held in Los Angeles, Toronto cities to support IDPs

Addis Ababa, December 6, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopians living in the U.S. and Canada raised 835,400 USD in support  of people displaced by the terrorist TPLF in Amahara and Afar Regions through a fundraising event held in Los Angeles, Toronto cities respectively on Sunday.

Out of the total money raised 640,000 USD was raised overnight in a fundraising event held in Los Angeles.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the U.S., Fitsum Arega, Hermela Aregawi, and several public figures attended the fundraising event in Los Angeles.

The money has been raised though an open auction and motivational speech delivered by Hermela Aregawi on the occasion.

In related story, at a fundraising event held in Toronto, Canada, over 250,000 Canadian dollars (195,400 USD) was raised for internally displaced people in the Amhara and Afar regions.
