Indonesia commends Ethiopia’s decision to re-open Mission in Jakarta

Addis Ababa, May 25, 2023 (FBC) – The Republic of Indonesia has welcomed Ethiopia’s decision to re-open its Mission in Jakarta, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

Ambassador Fekadu Beyene Aleka submitted a copy of his letter of credential to the Director General for Protocol and Consular Affairs/Chief of State Protocol today, at the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

On the occasion, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the long-standing relations between the two countries in business, culture and public diplomacy.

Ethiopia’s decision to re-open the mission was appreciated by the Southeast Asian country’s official.

He also expressed readiness to assist all practical issues related to the re-opening process of the Ethiopian Embassy in Jakarta.
