Institution, UN Women Ethiopia agree for multifaceted joint tasks

Addis Ababa, May 19, 2022 (FBC) – Minister of Women and Social Affairs, Ergogie Tesfaye (PhD) met with UN Women country representative Anna Mutavati to discuss on a proposed 4 year project document between the two institutions.

The project will focus on women’s economic empowerment, addressing GBV, responding to the needs of women and girls in humanitarian settings, women’s participation in leadership as well as coordination and gender statistics.

The ministry and UN Women agreed to finalize the project document, sign an agreement and begin implementation while also using the project document for mobilizing resources from a wide range of donors.
