Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to visit Ethiopia this week

Addis Ababa, April 12, 2023 (FBC) – Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Republic of Italy, will pay a two-day official visit (April 14–15, 2023) to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

The visit is aimed at deepening the partnership between the two countries. During her stay, the Prime Minister will meet with high-level Government officials from Ethiopia and the African Union.

Strengthening humanitarian and development assistance support to Ethiopia will be at the top of the agenda. Ideas will also be exchanged on regional, continental, and global issues of common concern.

It is also stated that Italy is one of Ethiopia’s main development partners.
