Japan committed to further deepen its ties with Ethiopia: Ambassador

Addis Ababa, February 1, 2021 (FBC) – Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ito Takako said his country is committed to further deepen its ties with Ethiopia.

Ethiopia and Japan have been enjoying close and strong diplomatic relationship that has lasted for decades, the ambassador said.

Japan has been manifesting its partnership to Ethiopia financially and technically supporting several developments in the country, she added.

The ambassador reiterated the commitment of his country to support job creation efforts and fostering youth and women entrepreneurship in Ethiopia.

Saying that Japan has been assisting education, agriculture, industry and infrastructure sectors in the, the ambassador reaffirmed that his country is dedicated to further strengthen its ties with Ethiopia.

Ethiopia’s decision to open up of the economic sector to foreign direct investment has created fertile ground that help the two countries further deepen cooperation in the area, the ambassador added.
