Nation celebrates May 28 Victory Day
Addis Ababa, May 28, 2020 (FBC) – May 28 victory day is being celebrated nationwide with various events.
The 29th anniversary of the May 28 celebration of the overthrow of the Derg military regime has started in the morning with 21 gun salute in Addis Ababa, the capital.
Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, while extending his congratulatory message yesterday, said May 28 is one of the historic days that changed the narratives of Ethiopia.
The premier recalled the sacrifices paid by freedom stragglers to ensure democracy, justice and peace in Ethiopia.
