PM Abiy Ahmed announces new appointments to high level positions
Addis Ababa, January 20, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has announced new appointments of high officials to ministerial level positions and other key posts such as the central bank of the nation.
The Prime Minister has referred the following ministerial nominees to the House of Peoples Representatives for approval.
- Alemu Sime (PhD) – Transport and Logistics Minister
- Mr. Habtamu Tegegn – Mining Minister
- Girma Amente (PhD) – Agriculture Minister
Furthermore, the following senior officials have been appointed by the Prime Minister to the following respective positions effective as of 18 January, 2023.
- Mamo Mihretu – Governor of National Bank of Ethiopia
- Mrs. Alemtsehay Paulos – Head of the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs Minister
- Deacon Daniel Kibret – Social Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister with Ministerial Level
- Ambassador Taye Atske Selassie – Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister with Ministerial level
- Mr. Melese Alemu – Coordinator of Democracy Building Cluster with Ministerial level.
