PM Abiy meets with Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council President Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan
Addis Ababa, July 5, 2022 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has met with Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan in the sidelines of IGAD 39th Extraordinary Summit.
The two have discussed current regional and bilateral issues of mutual concern, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.
“We have both agreed that our two countries have plenty of collaborative elements to work on peacefully. Our common bonds surpass any divisions. We both made a commitment for dialogue and peaceful resolution to outstanding issues,” Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and his delegation have arrived in Nairobi, Kenya to participate in the 39th Extraordinary Assembly of the IGAD Heads of State and Government.
