Prosperity Party begins nationwide public consultations

Addis Ababa, March 23, 2022 (FBC) – The ruling Prosperity Party (PP) has started public consultations in cities and towns of regions of the country in a bid to introduce directives put in place during its First Congress and garner opinions from the people as inputs for its future endeavors.

Leaders of the ruling have started discussing face to face with the general public with a view to ensure active participation of the people in the peace and democracy building and socio-economic and political strides.

During its First Congress, PP elected Abiy Ahmed (PhD) as its president and Demeke Mekonnen and Adem Farah as vice presidents of the party.

The party, which held its first congress meeting from March 11 to 13 reached consensus on various issues concerning nation’s current situation and future direction.
