Renowned humanitarian Abebech Gobena dies

Addis Ababa, July 4, 2021 (FBC) – The renowned Ethoipian humanitarian Abebech Gobena has died on Sunday after receiving Covid 19 treatment in a hospital.

As the most revered philanthropist and the Founder of Abebech Gobena children’s care and development Association, Abebech Gobena has raised and helped thousands of orphaned children across Ethiopia.

Abebech received an honorary doctorate degree from Jimma University for her outstanding humanitarian engagement in the last forty years.

Many call Abebech Gobena as the African Mother Teresa.
