Retired military officer Maj-Gen Alemishet Degife called on to rejoin defense force

Addis Ababa, November 5, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has called on the retired high military officer Major General Alemishet Degife to rejoin the National Defense Force.

Major General Alemishet Degife was one of the military officers who regained their high military ranks after Prime Minister Minister Abiy Ahmed took office two years ago.

It is to be recalled that Prime Minister Abiy ordered three top military officers with a rank of Lieutenant General yesterday.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the military Birhanu Jula has today stated that maximum care is being taken to protect civilians while counteracting the attack from Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF)
