Sanctions against Ethiopia only embolden anti-peace elements in the region: S.Sudanese Minister

Addis Ababa, April 16, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador in South Sudan, Nebil Mehedi had a discussion with Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro, Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development of the Republic of South Sudan.

The discussion between the two sides predominantly covered issues related to the current affairs of the two Countries. The Minister expressed his appreciation for the Ethiopian Government’s commitment to facilitate humanitarian assistances to the Tigray region.

He also condemned the propaganda campaigns of some foreign entities that aimed to tarnish the image of Ethiopia. Sanctions on Ethiopia only embolden anti-peace elements and let insecurities prevail in the region, he said.

The Minister appreciated the Ethiopian Government’s supports in capacity building for South Suadanese public servants and human resource developments as well. They have also agreed to strengthen the bilateral relation in the civil service sector.
