Seismic hazard in Dugda Woreda forces 2,303 locals to flee homes

Addis Ababa, July 3, 2021 (FBC) – In Dugda Woredea of Arisi Zone, 2,303 locals have fled their home in the wake of seismic hazard in the area.

The Ecosystem and Water Expert at Oromia Water and Energy Bureau, Abdulatif Mohammed attributed the seismic hazard to potential earthquake.

He urged the displaced to stay where they are sheltered now reffering to the magnitude scale measure the bureau has so far estimated.

Abdulatif also called upon concerned stakeholders to facilitate emergency support to the displaced.
