Somali Region Chief Administrator Mustafa Omer discusses with WFP Regional Director

Addis Ababa, January 22, 2022 (FBC) – Chief Administrator of Somali Regional State, Mustafa Omer has discussed with Regional Director of WFB Michael Denford on the drought situation in the region.

During the discussion, Chief Administrator Mustafa Omer stressed need to scale up food assistance to affected people to prevent malnutrition and save lives of affected communities.

The Somali Regional State has established a committee tasked to scale up emergency response to humanitarian needs of drought affected people in the region.
