Ethiopia, Cuba agree to revamp longstanding ties

Addis Ababa, September 15, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Cuba have agreed to revamp their longstanding ties through high-level political engagement.

This vow was made during a meeting between the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Bermudez and Demeke Mekonnen, Deputy Prime minister and Foreign Minister of Ethiopia in Havana this morning.

Both have agreed to revamp the traditional ties through exchange of visits at a higher level.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, DPM &FM Demeke also met Vice President, Speaker and Foreign Minister of Cuba on the margins of the Summit.

Demeke is attending the Group of 77 and China Heads of state and Government Summit kicked off this morning.
