Ethiopia participates in Rome-Africa Regional Group-European Union joint meeting

Addis Ababa, June 9, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to Italy, Demitu Hambisa participated in the Rome Africa Regional Group- European Union platform on 7 June 2022.

The Platform discussed priorities identified by the European Union-African Union (EU-AU) Summit on 17-18 February 2022 in Brussels, Belgium. 

The two blocs discussed ways to enhance a global agri-food system transformation, smallholder farmer’s productivity, food security, sustainable development, trade and partnership.  

In the meeting, African Regional Group stressed the importance of concrete actions to accelerate smallholder farmer’s productivity, the agri-food system transformation, sustainable development and food security.
