Ethiopia, Qatar agree to foster new areas of cooperation

Addis Ababa, December 11, 2023 (FBC) – Minister of State for State Minister for Political and Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Mesganu Arga held talks with Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Kuwari today on the margins of the Doha Forum in Qatar.

Discussions covered issues related to the longstanding partnership between Ethiopia and QFFD.

Ambassador Mesganu, who noted Qatar is a preferred partner for economic cooperation, emphasized the need to translate the excellent political ties into practical economic partnership for the benefit of the two peoples.

The State Minister underlined the need to increase the breadth and depth of Ethio-Qatari economic cooperation for the greater growth of the ties.

Both sides agreed to expand cooperation and foster new areas of cooperation for the steady growth of bilateral ties.
