MoE Minister, Somali Region President launch education for generation programme in Jigjiga

Addis Ababa, July 26, 2023 (FBC) – Minister of Education, Birhanu Nega and Somali Region President Mustefe Omer today launched the “education for generation” programme in Jigjiga.

In the last 5 years, regional government built 576 primary schools, 79 secondary schools and 11 Boarding schools, said Mustefe Omer after during the launching ceremony.

He added that this year, budget for education is increased by 40%.

Emphasizing implementation of educational curriculum with new policies, Minister of Education, Birhanu Nega said that collaboration of stakeholder is needed to address quality of education in Ethiopia.

The Minister also called on stakeholder to renew educational institutions to realize the the country’s educational system.
