PM Abiy returns home from Cairo

Addis Ababa, July 13, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD)and his delegation returned home after attending the ‘Summit of all neighbouring countries of Sudan’ in Cairo earlier today, Offic of the Prime Minister confirmed.

In his remarks during the summit, the Prime Minister acknowledged and appreciated initiatives that had been started to bring relief to the Sudan crisis, including the Summit in Egypt.

He further underlined that such processes would need to align with the IGAD led and African Union supported existing initiative towards a resolution of the conflict in the Sudan.

Concluding the visit to Egypt, the Prime Minister and his delegation have returned to Addis Ababa this afternoon, the PM Office said.
