Entrepreneurial Forum for Peace and Development officially launched

Addis Ababa, August 2, 2022 (FBC) – Entrepreneurial Forum for Peace and Development (EFPD), a non-governmental organization headed by former President and PM of Ethiopia and working towards the promotion of peace and development in Ethiopia and gradually to the IGAD region, has officially started its work.

President Sahle-Work Zewde in her speech during the ceremony said: “ there is no sequencing between peace and development… there is a nexus between the two….we have to work on peace during peacetime…we have seen how fast the lack of peace can take us downhill…every part of the society has a role to play in the development of a country..”.

High government officials, representatives of embassies and international organizations, as well as the business community were in attendance.

Since its establishment on October 5, 2021, the Forum has been busy with its formal registration and preparation for the ‘grand launching’.
