Response-Recovery-Resilience for Conflict-Affected Project Committee approves $60mln

Addis Ababa, July 26, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Response-Recovery-Resilience for Conflict Affected Project Steering Committee approved 60 million USD budget for 2016 Ethiopian Fiscal Year (2023/24) at a meeting held in Bishoftu town, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) announced.

According to the Ministry, the Steering Committee evaluated the project’s performance in 2015 Ethiopian Fiscal Year (2022/23) and discussed the work plan and budget for 2016 EFY (2023/24).

The Steering Committee agreed on the need to enhance collaboration, ensure timely fund disbursement, monitor, and evaluate the project results, and address any emerging issues while implementing the project, MoF stated.

The project has been implementing in in 5 regional states of Ethiopia affected by conflict: in Amhara, Afar, Tigray, Benshangul-Gumuz, and Oromia.

The meeting was chaired by Semereta Sewasew, Minister of State for Finance and Ms. Alemitu Omud, Minister of State for Women and Social Affairs and attended by representatives from the federal steering committee as well as representatives from conflict-affected regional states.
