Italy committed to scale up well-founded ties with Ethiopia – Diplomat

Addis Ababa, June 28, 2023 (FBC) – The Director General for the European and American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Ambassador Zenbe Kebede discussed multifaceted bilateral and pertinent regional issues that increase mutual benefits and understanding with Ambassador Giuseppe Mistretta, Head for the Sub-Saharan Africa of the Italian Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry.

In their discussion, Ambassador Zenebe recalled the well-founded bilateral relationship between the two countries and also briefed him about the current domestic developments and regional issues.

Ambassador Zenebe also mentioned Italy is an important ally to Ethiopia and conveyed appreciation to the government of Italy, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Rome.

Ambassador Giuseppe Mistretta, on his part, stated the commitment of the government of Italy to strengthen its bilateral relations with Ethiopia and Africa in general.
