Tigray Interim Admin Education Bureau calls for teaching, learning materials support

Addis Ababa, August 11, 2023 (FBC) – Education Bureau of the Interim Administration of Tigray Region, called on stakeholders to provide support of teaching learning materials to schools in the region.

Head of the Education Bureau of the Interim Admin, Kiros Hadush (PhD), the two year war in the northern part of the country highly affected the teaching learning process in the region, calling for enhanced support to the efforts underway to restore educational facilities.

Kiros announced acitivites underway to fulfil the necessary educational resources for the upcoming academic year.

Discussions are being held with all concerned stakeholders on how to restore and rebuild educational facilities damaged by the conflict.

Saying that children in the region have been out of schools due to the conflict, Kiros stressed the need to concerted efforts to address shortcomings induced by the conflict in the region.

Teaching aids including schools, books, furniture and related rouces are urgently needed to prop up the teaching learning process in the region, Kiros added.
