Ethiopian Migrants, returnees get informative Mobile App

Addis Ababa, December 8, 2020 (FBC) – Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has today launched a mobile App named “Yeguzo Sinq” which is intended to facilitate up to date information for Ethiopian migrants and returnees.

The application developed by the International Labor Organization is provides Ethiopian migrants and returnees with information through English and three local languages; Amharic, Afan Oromo and Tigrigna tongues.

It is stated on the launching ceremony that migrants face with various difficulties due to lack of source of information, and the app bridges the gap in this regard.

“Yeguzo Sink” will have a paramount significance in addressing migrants with details related to opportunities in host countries, laws of countries and problems facing migrants through a communication link it creates with embassies and other institutions.

On the launching ceremony, State Minister of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Ayelech Eshete said that the government is working to make the application available on online sources.
